Today, Aix-les-Bains is the fourth-largest spa town in France. Two spa centres - Les Thermes Chevalley and Les Thermes de Marlioz - offer two types of spa therapy (ENT and rheumatology).

The Thermes Chevalley spa has modern, comfortable facilities and three balneotherapy centres - Adelphia, Domaine de Marlioz and Villa Marlioz - offering water treatments. There is a wide range of spas and institutions dedicated to well-being and relaxation for a truly relaxing break.

Because of the benefits of its thermal spring water, Aix-les-Bains was for a long time the key destination for European aristocracy, with Queen Victoria, Queen Hortense and Empress Eugenie all having stayed there.
